Routine Preventative Care-we recommend an annual physical exam and fecal evaluation. During the examination a veterinarian will determine nutritional status of your pet, listen to the heart and lungs, palpate the abdomen, examine the eyes, ears, mouth/teeth, lymph nodes, and integument. Using exam findings the veterinarian will discuss ways to maintain or improve your pet's health. Any concerns regarding husbandry, diet, or behavior can also be addressed at this time. Nails can be trimmed during annual examinations or as technician appointments.

Laboratory Services-we provide in-house serum biochemical analysis, white blood cell counts, PCV, fecal floatation, direct fecal examination, gram stains and urinalysis. We also perform in-house cytology of masses, abscesses, and granulomas. Using our reference laboratory, we provide pcr/serologic screening for infectious diseases (including E. cuniculi and Pasteurella in rabbits; Distemper, Enteric Catarrhal Enteritis/Coronavirus, Helicobacter, and Lawsonia in ferrets; Lawsonia and Mycoplasma in rodents), aerobic and anaerobic bacterial cultures, fungal cultures, and adrenal profiles.

Imaging-we use digital radiography to obtain clear radiographs of even the smallest species or body regions. Ultrasound enables visualization of internal organs not visible via radiography. It also allows for ultrasound-guided aspirates of fluid or masses.

Endoscopy-we use endoscopy to evaluate the gastrointestinal tract and to retrieve foreign bodies and obtain biopsies.

Soft Tissue Surgery-we provide services including gastrotomy, enterotomy, intestinal resection and anastomosis, splenectomy, liver lobectomy, cholecystectomy, cystotomy, nephrectomy, ovariohysterectomy/castration, perineal urethrostomy, and complicated mass removals.

Anesthesia-we use pre-medications and anesthetic gas in combination to provide peri-operative pain control and the safest anesthesia. A dedicated certified veterinary technician and state-of-the-art patient monitors provide excellent anesthesia monitoring.

Dentistry-we provide routine and advanced dental services including corrective trimming, extractions, and dental radiography.

Internal Medicine-we can provide diagnosis and management of chronic conditions including heart disease, liver disease, renal disease, adrenal disease, and cancer.

Medical Boarding-we offer boarding for patients of our hospital that need medications or frequent procedures.
